Girl Boss: Diamond Showdown (1974)
DIR: Ikuo Sekimoto

Much bloodier than Girl Boss: Escape from Reform School, with a much more conventional (and conclusive) ending. Reiko Ike does some convincing skull-smashing, as a sukeban who fights her way through a year of reform school then sets out for a multi-faceted revenge. Some Shakespearean melodrama heightens the sense of drama before the climax. Biased in this film’s favor—the “theme” is my favorite track on an Ultra-vybe comp.
